Petals-N-Belles was invited to FoxNews.com to share about the organization, programs and mentees with anchor Arthel Neville.
On the morning of Thursday, April 12 Damali Elliott (Petals-N-Belles Founder), E. Isis Adewale (Petals-N-Belles Board Member) and two PNB mentees Aransa G. and Alannah B. met for breakfast to prepare for their first live interview, which happened to be on FoxNews.com, a nationally syndicated news source.
At breakfast, each mentee was prepped by answering a variety of questions such as “What is the most valuable lesson you have learned from Petals-N-Belles,” and “What is your most memorable experience so far?” With everything from shaking hands to the hiccups, Aransa and Alannah answered the questions with ease and laughed every time their nerves got the best of them. During the role play the girls interviewed Damali, pretending to be the anchor. Isis, an invaluable member of the Petals-N-Belles team, gave amazing advice and said a heart warming prayer just moments before the show.
“There are moments you never imagine, that make your dream that much brighter and bigger. I will never forget the seconds leading up to the show or the sound of my heart beating as we entered the studio. At ages 16, Alannah and Aransa are both confident, articulate and awe-inspiring, which is just a touch of their potential and a dream come true for me. Thank you Fox!” - Damali Elliott Petals-N-Belles, Founder|Executive Director
